Seville Nightlife: Bars and Clubs

Sep 30 , 2011

Seville nightlife includes nightclubs and bars. Bars are good for an afternoon drink or a laid-back night, with some places that specialize in certain drink varieties, like beer or shots. Nightclubs keep the action going literally until sunrise, with music and entertainment.

Sopa de Ganso

Sopa de Ganso is a Seville bar that undergoes a change of character as the day turns into night. Early on, it's a great place to enjoy tapas along with your drinks. As the evening wears on, the focus shifts from food to hard-core drinking, with a pop and Spanish music backdrop. They specialize in mixed drinks, but a decent beer selection is also available.

La Rebotica

If you like shots, La Rebotica is the perfect place to visit in Seville. It's not a fancy nightspot, but it features more than 50 shots, with many named for American celebrities. Some have more interesting or suggestive monikers, like Orgasmo. Its walls were once papered with old comic books but the décor has gotten a facelift, although the famous shots remain on the menu.

Cervecería Internaciónal

If you are familiar with the Spanish language, you might guess that this Seville bar is all about the beer. You can choose from 300 brews from regions all around the world. Peruse the detailed menu, which lists the names, countries of origin, and alcohol content of all the offerings, or just make your selection from the impressive bottle display. Watch your choices carefully, as some of the beers have surprisingly high alcohol content.

Terraza Capote

Terraza Capote is a sedate bar by day and a hopping nightclub in the evening, with DJs streteching the music through the late night hours. This club was meant to recreate a beach bar right in the heart of Seville, complete with palm trees and a river view in the background. It's the perfect outdoor nightlife spot if you want a place with unique ambiance.

Cathedral

Cathedral's décor echoes its name, and it's a great spot to enjoy Seville nightlife if you enjoy a smaller, more intimate atmosphere. Its size doesn't mean that there's any less of a party going on inside. There's music ranging from techno to funk to disco, and you might even be treated to a floor show. This can be a hard spot to get into due to its popularly. It's especially good if you like to party late into the night, as things start getting lively right around 2 a.m. and the music and dancing doesn't stop until the morning.

Boss

Boss is a popular place for Seville nightlife because of its size and capacity. This multilevel club boasts four bars and an amazing amount of dance space. The only drawback is its popularity among both local and international visitors. You may not get in, but dressing up and going with a small group helps your chances.
